The Musicians
Lark has led Holler & Crow since it’s earliest iteration as an a capella band in 2018. Since her earliest days in classical orchestras and madrigal choirs, she has embraced her inner crow: collecting the perfect songs like treasures, and working with a variety of musicians and developing the unique sound of “folk fusion”. Lark plays the viola, violin, guitar, accordion and bodhrán in Holler & Crow. She also contributes her songwriting skills, and sings like a bird.
Lark is a long-time community music organizer in Asheville. Past organizing roles includes: Pop-Up Music Co-Op, Community Music Organizer at Firefly Gathering, Sing Thing and Songwriter Circles, countless backyard bonfire jams, and years of busking throughout the US & Canada.
She is known for her entertaining banter, historical tidbits and occasionally giving out prizes. Lark also performs solo as Lark Day Sun.
Lark Frazier
Ellison has been in Holler & Crow since its earliest inception as an a capella group and now sings and plays accordion. Ellison writes and records original music under the artist name Shy Shack.
