A folk band stand in the woods in spring - a man holds an irish bouzouki, a woman holds a viola, a woman holds an accordion and a man holds a guitar. They are all smiling and approximately the same height with auburn hair.

Song-A-Month Recording Project!

Right now, we’re hard at work recording and releasing one song EVERY month!

Your support goes directly to making sure musicians can be paid for their studio time. And we can’t do it without the help of our fans!

Patrons can join for as little as $3/month, and receive a thank you gift and behind the scenes access to new content! You might even get to help decide which songs get recorded!

The Musicians

Lark has led Holler & Crow since it’s earliest iteration as an a capella band in 2018. Since her earliest days in classical orchestras and madrigal choirs, she has embraced her inner crow: collecting the perfect songs like treasures, and working with a variety of musicians and developing the unique sound of “folk fusion”. Lark plays the viola, violin, guitar, accordion and bodhrán in Holler & Crow. She also contributes her songwriting skills, and sings like a bird.

Lark is a long-time community music organizer in Asheville. Past organizing roles includes: Pop-Up Music Co-Op, Community Music Tent at Firefly Gathering, Sing Thing and Songwriter Circles, countless backyard bonfire jams, and years of busking throughout the US & Canada.

She is known for her entertaining banter, historical tidbits and occasionally giving out prizes. Lark also performs solo as Lark Day Sun.

Lark Frazier

Ellison has been in Holler & Crow since its earliest inception as an a capella group and now sings and plays accordion. Ellison writes and records original music under the artist name Shy Shack.

Ellison Graham

Charlie brings his talents as a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, bass) and vocalist, sound engineer and music producer to Holler & Crow. Additionally, he brings a passion for Irish music and culture. Charlie is half of the indie rock outfit, Cardinal Lake.

Charlie Campbell

Jon is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, bringing banjo, bouzouki, and various auxiliary instruments to the Holler & Crow lineup. In his spare time you can find him playing in viol consorts, Irish sessions, or with the microtonal band Spiral Garden.
